Inner Readiness Assessment

How ready are you to explore your inner challenges?

A pre-coaching reflection to help us make the most of our time together

🧐

Before we begin

This assessment is not a test — there are no right or wrong answers. It is an invitation to pause and look inward with curiosity and honesty. The insights here will help us shape our coaching work so that every session feels relevant, grounded, and truly yours.

Take your time with each statement. Notice your first, honest reaction — that is usually the most useful one. A score of 1 means the statement doesn’t resonate at all; 5 means it feels completely true right now.

How to use this assessment

  • Read each statement slowly and rate it from 1 (not at all) to 5 (completely true).
  • Answer the reflection question at the end of each category in your own words.
  • The summary at the bottom will show you your overall readiness profile.
  • There are no right or wrong answers — only yours. Honesty is what makes this useful.
A
Category 1 · Awareness
I know that something is off
Noticing that there is a pattern, a gap, or a feeling that deserves attention
Rate each statement from 1 (not at all) to 5 (completely true)
I have a sense that something in the way I show up — at work, in relationships, or with myself — is not fully aligned with who I want to be.
I can notice when I am reacting from a place of fear, protection, or old patterns rather than from my values or intentions.
There are recurring situations or emotions that I keep encountering — and I sense they are trying to tell me something.
I am aware that some of my emotional responses are bigger — or smaller — than the situation truly warrants.

W
Category 2 · Willingness
I want to change it
The internal motivation to look more deeply, even when it feels uncomfortable
Rate each statement from 1 (not at all) to 5 (completely true)
I am genuinely motivated to understand what drives my behaviour — not just to manage symptoms, but to get to the root.
I am open to exploring parts of myself that might be uncomfortable, contradictory, or that I have previously avoided.
I am willing to challenge beliefs about myself that I have held for a long time, even if it means changing my sense of who I am.
I feel a genuine pull towards growth — not because I should, but because something in me knows that this matters.

R
Category 3 · Readiness
I have some tools & know I need more
Practical and emotional capacity for the deeper work ahead
Rate each statement from 1 (not at all) to 5 (completely true)
I have some experience with self-reflection — journaling, therapy, mindfulness, or other practices — and I am ready to go deeper.
I can sit with difficult emotions without immediately trying to fix, analyse, or escape them — even if it is not always easy.
I feel stable enough in my life right now to explore deeper emotional territory without being overwhelmed by it.
I recognise that this process may surface things I did not expect, and I am ready for that — with support.

C
Category 4 · Commitment
I am willing to commit, even in difficult times
The sustained intention to show up for this work when it gets hard
Rate each statement from 1 (not at all) to 5 (completely true)
I am willing to continue this work even when progress feels slow, invisible, or uncomfortable — knowing that depth takes time.
I am prepared to bring honesty to our sessions — even when it is easier to deflect, please, or stay on the surface.
I am willing to apply what I discover here in my real life — to experiment, to stumble, and to try again.
I trust that who I am becoming through this work is worth the effort, even before I can fully see it.
